How the Grant Application Process Works

The process includes regional review and final consideration by the MOAT Advisory Committee.

Review Your Region’s Requirements

Each of Montana’s 14 Abatement Regions has its own governance committee, meeting schedule, and application deadlines. Before applying, review the information for the region from which you are seeking funding and confirm its specific requirements and timelines.

Submit Your Grant Application

After submission to MOAT, applications go through the grant application process before being forwarded to the appropriate Abatement Region governance committee for approval or denial.

Please allow 5–7 business days for your application to be sent to the regional committee.

Final Advisory Committee Review

Applications approved by the regional governance committee are forwarded to the MOAT Advisory Committee for final review.

The Advisory Committee meets quarterly to make final funding decisions.
